Neighbourhood Watch
Quarndon Neighbourhood Watch Group aims to keep residents of Quarndon informed, regarding burglaries etc. which occur in the village. There are two ways in which we receive information. One is by telephone from the Belper and District Neighbourhood Watch Group and the other is of course from residents of the village.
When a telephone call is received from the area group, (this is usually the day following the crime) we are given details of the crime committed, how the criminal gained access to the property or out buildings and the value of the items stolen and the name only, of the road where the incident occurred. We then pass these details on to our Neighbourhood Watch Group (who now number over 50) by e-mail. This has proved to be the most efficient method of communication.
Information is also received monthly from the area group and displayed on the notice board outside the church hall.
If you change your email or are new to the village then please send your name and email address to nwatch@quarndon.parishcouncil.net. Your name and email will then be added to the list and you will receive details of future incidents.
Remember that the phone number to report suspicious activities is the Police Headquarters at Ripley, phone number 01773 570100.
